The Local Governance and Community Development Programme- Phase II (LGCDP-H) is a national programme which is being implemented by the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development (MoFALD) and supported by various development partners. The overall objective of LGCDP-H is to contribute towards the national goal of poverty reduction. The programme focuses on effective, equitable and sustainable service delivery through community empowerment, capacity development and policy reform to improve local governance. The programme covers both the demand and supply side of local governance reform. LGCDP-II is seeking applications from qualified, talented and result oriented Nepalese citizens for the following positions:
Post Title: Results Based Monitoring Specialist (NPPP III)
No. of position: One
Duty Station: Kathmandu
Duration: Annual contract and extended based on performance
Job responsibilities: The Specialist is responsible for: taking lead role to provide echnical support and input for the implementation of RBM and M&E activities; provide backstopping support and technical guidance to the RCUs, DGEs and UGEs with respect to RBM and M&E issues; assist and participate in capacity development activities concerning RBM/M&E issues; identify and report risks and issues to the PCU and support discussion on mitigation actions in the bi-monthly output group meetings.
Qualifications and experiences required: Completion of Master degree in statistics, management, social sciences, or related field and working knowledge in Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). At least 7 years' experience of working on RBM and M&E system in Nepal; At least 3 years' experience in Management Information Systems (MIS); Demonstrated track record of delivering high quality reports on time; Experience of working in a national government-managed programme would be an advantage. Fluency in spoken and written Nepali and English language.
