Job Description

SOS Children's Villages Nepal as a non-governmental social development organization supports children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief. We advocate for the rights of children and young people, in alliance with a great diversity of partners. We are now looking for interested and qualified Nepalese citizens for the position of Principal at SOS Hermann Gmeiner School Gandaki and SOS Hermann Gmeiner School Surkhet located in Kaski and Surkhet district.

Location : SOS Hermann Gmeiner School Gandaki and SOS Hermann Gmeiner School Surkhet

S/he is responsible for leading the school in a strategic way complying with policies and values of SOS Children's Villages; acknowledged and contextualized guidelines of leadership, management and human resource development and strives for participation.

Competencies:
  • A demonstrated record of administrative/supervisory or other leadership experience.
  • A strong work ethic to foster and sustain positive and productive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • An individual of high moral character and integrity who can maintain credibility, confidence and pride in the school.
  • An individual with outstanding communication, collaboration, planning and organizing skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of curriculum planning, curriculum delivery, outcome and impact assessment and evaluation strategies.
  • Strong understanding of education related policies and practices of the organization and of the country.
  • Strong command over English Language and Computer Proficiency.
Qualification and Experience:
  • Master's Degree in any discipline with minimum second division or equivalent GPA in aggregate from a recognized university with minimum 5 years' teaching experience and 2 years' experience as a Coordinator, Vice Principal or Principal of a reputed Educational Institute.
Salary and benefits: As per the rule of the organization.
