Job Description

World Vision International Nepal (WVIN), an international Christian relief, development and advocacy organisation dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice, is looking for potential Nepalese candidates to fill out the above position:

Work purpose: To contribute to the expertise and direction of the Internal Audit Department to ensure its alignment to the strategic directions of WVIN and carryout performance commitments that supports the goals and objectives of the Internal Audit Department as well as WVIN.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably Master’s Degree) in Commerce, Accounting or Business or Management. Professional qualification such as ACCA/CA/CIA (Preferred) with at least two years’ experience in auditing and accounting or relevant/equivalent community development work experience.
• Strength in systems and information analysis and reporting, internal controls audit processes and management information systems, monitoring/evaluation and related processes.
• Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to operate effectively and sensitively in the cultural context of Nepal
• Willingness to commit to World Vision ethos, vision, mission and core values
• Experience in using logical frameworks, project evaluation and monitoring
• Strong facilitation skills, including catalysing, connecting, and building the capacity of community groups
• Self-motivated, confident, independent, creative with strong analytical and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality
• Positive learning attitude and concern for the poor and vulnerable people
• Good report writing skills; with fluency in Nepali and English – both oral and written
• Excellent communications and negotiation skills
• Must be able to work independently in remote areas.
