Job Description
International Media Network Pvt. Ltd., the publishers of "The Himalayan Times" is looking for highly motivated personnel:Responsibilities
- Edit and check the copy for spelling and grammatical mistakes and execute story ideas
- Oversee the layout, appearance, and content of business articles
- Check facts in stories to ensure accuracy
- Write headlines that capture the essence of the story
- Provide necessary support and assistance to subordinates in news editing
- Liaison with reporters or journalists to clarify facts and details about the stories and articles
- Graduate degree in English or Mass Communication
- Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience
- Should have an excellent command of English
- Able to spot and correct grammatical and other mistakes
- Ability to cope with the work pressure
- Should have good news sense and be computer savvy
- Must establish priorities and balance a desire for perfection with the necessity to follow deadlines
- Willing to work in the night shift
