Job Description

World Vision International Nepal (WVIN), an international Christian relief, development and advocacy organisation dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice, is looking for potential  Nepalese candidates to fill the above position.

Work Purpose:

To provide technical support to livelihood in alignment with WVIN's livelihood strategy in Jumla Area Development Programme.

Minimum Qualification and Experience required:

Bachelor's Degree (Preferably Master's) in Agriculture or related field from recognised university with at least two years work experience in livelihood sector ,good knowledge of community based livelihood projects and emerging issues of rural farmers of Nepal , good Knowledge of organic farming and co-operative capacity building.

Core competencies:

competent in using MS WORD ,MS EXCEL and Power Point presentation,ability to operate effectively and sensitively in the cultural context of Nepal ,willingness to commit to World Vision ethos ,vision,mission and core values,experience in using logical frameworks,project evaluation and monitoring,strong facilitation skills, including catalysing,connecting and building the capacity of community groups,self-motivated,confident,independent,creative with strong analytical and interpersonal skills,ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and maintain confedentiality,positive learning attitude and concern for the poor and vulnerable people , good report writing skills, with fluency in Nepali and English - both oral and written ,excellent communications and negotiation skills.
