About Company
Nepal’s rich hydropower resource offers a great opportunity for socio-economic transformation of Nepal and its neighbors. Realizing this, Nepal Hydropower Association (NHA) aims to contribute to the sustainable development of hydropower in Nepal through capacity building of hydropower professionals and policy advocacy.
NHA was established in August 1999, initially as a national committee of International Hydropower Association which later transitioned to an independent organization. Our mission is to promote sustainable hydropower through capacity building of hydropower professionals in Nepal and policy advocacy.
With 192 individual members and 32 corporate members, NHA cooperates with International Hydropower Association (IHA) and other national and international organizations to work towards its objectives.
